Bag me up, Scotty!

So basically something I figured out a long time ago is that you can't really find the bags you are looking for on the Swedish market. The bags out there are either adapted to fly fishing / fly fishing reels or pike fishing. Nothing for the one looking for smart bags to travel with and save your expensive fishing reels at the same time.

You might think it sounds like an easy task, Hey go find a bag to put your reels and jig in? How hard can it be? It is in noway an easy task, let me tell you that much!

So after alot of research I have found two bags that I am very very satisfied with, Both arrived last week.

One of the bags is a reel storage bag of medium size for up to 4 reels. The other is a jig storage bag for your normal flat side jigs.

Both are built extremely well, robust construction and with very nice design aswell.

Here is a picture on both of the bags on the same picture.

So what do we got?

1. First bag from left side is a HOTS Tackle Bag Size Medium.
2. Second bag from the left side is a Jigging Master Detachable Jig Bag

So lets discuss whats good about the first bag? Well first of all it's made of a very robust outer material plus its waterproof, the seams seem very good and there is no parts that can easily break. Its quite light in weight and the good stuff comes when we open the bag to look inside.

There is a small pocket where you can load up all your reel tools, grease, screwdrivers, rod holders etc. Fits perfectly. What you see below is my 4 reels that is now covered with two isolating pillows that you can place where you want sice they are made with velcro on the sides and so is the bag. They seem to isolate very good from damage and bounces. The bag comes with a total of three customizable pillows. I placed one in the middle between my two set of reels and the other two ontop of each side to reduce vibration.

This is how it looks with both of the small pillows moved up. Very nice bag overall! I got mine from Kilsong at his site, jignpop.com.

Up next is the jig bag from Jigging Master.

If there is anything bad to say about this bag, it would be that it is a little heavy from the start. Even without it filled of jigs!

However the construction and quality of the bag easily makes up for that. This is one of the most well thought bags I have ever seen. Its made out of quality rubber materials making it tough. It also has velcro inside of it so if you wanna remove one of the jig (pages) you can, reason I am saying pages is that it is like a book where you can fold between the different pages.

The entire jig bag contains four full pages of spots for jigs. I managed to fit 20 quality jigs in it plus four in the front pocket.

I think this bag is worth it, if you already did spend a couple of hundred dollars on your jigs you do not want them to get scratched and destroyed due to bad handling.

So this is my tip to you guys, even there is no one listening just yet ;) These two bags are great if you are looking for the same thing I was.

Have a nice day all you fishermen out there.

21 days to go.. Vaeroy.
