Raw...

Here is the raw cut from the halibut fight. We will try to cut a movie from all scenes during the trip but it will be a long while before it's finished. No music, nothing.

This is the Uncut video of my halibut fight on the trip to Vaeroy 2011-04-15. The rod is a Custom built antacid wrapped Synit Deepshot 350 made by CJ (Synit) and the reel is a Jigging Master PE5. It's taken outside the southern tip of the Norwegian Island Vaeroy located near Lofoten. The bait is a River2Sea Sea Rock 500g and the fish was caught on 40 meters of depth. It was measured to 150cm on land.

    Gotta love the bend of the DS and the JM brakes are soooo smooth and powerful! :)

    Thanks mate :) I saw ur trip from mefjord! Seemed like an awesome trip aswell! Nice weather to! Did your rods exceed ur expectations aswell??

    Yeah we had an awesome time :) Mostly great weather, I can really recommend it for skrei fishing. I´m extremely happy with the rods although the Venom is waaaaay too powerful for cod fishing haha. The DS was perfect :)

    Yeah I guess so, I tried the DS350 on some cod just for fun but It's to powerful but not stiff at all even on smaller fish, i tried using a 200g jig and it was easily to feel how it moved in the water. It was a quite nice allround rod. Ofcourse the smaller DS150 was nice for cod/coalfish haha, but still! Not sure if it was because Graeme gave me the limited edition 350 that was supposed to have more feeling than the usual 350.
